The NM EFC began a project for the New Mexico Office of the State Engineer, the Local Government Division, and the New Mexico Environment Department to explore ways in which water systems could work collaboratively to address water conservation and drought management for their region. The initial project piloted this approach for three areas across the State. The current project is assisting nine regional areas within the state and are highlighted in the following map.
