Description In the southern portion of the Sacramento Mountains, 30 public and private water providers and stakeholders have joined together to form the Southern Sacramento Mountain Water Planning Group. As a group their goal is to use the best science to identify, prioritize and make decisions to improve the long-term quality and quantity of the available water. S. | Facilitators and Technical Advisors Carl Moore is the proprietor of the Community Store, a Santa Fe firm that provides consulting services to communities, governments and non-profit organizations. For 30 years he has consulted with groups in 35 states and 10 countries. His major activities include coaching communities in how to conduct community-wide goal setting/visioning, facilitating organizational decision-making, directing the development of strategic plans, conducting retreats and evaluations for community leadership programs, and training people how to facilitate. Currently, he consults for the NM EFC and works with nine area-wide collaborative water planning facilitators in New Mexico in their goal to develop regional water plans for their particular community group. He also is the chief facilitator for two of the groups, the Southern Sacramento Mtn. Area and the Upper Hondo Collaborative Water Group. Keith Melton holds an M.S. in community and regional affairs from the University of Missouri, and has 30 years experience in city planning, environmental assessment, and national and international environmental mediation and facilitation. Mr. Melton was a former project manager for the Safe Drinking Water Act Programs with the New Mexico Environment Department Drinking Water Bureau. |
