include one management entity over several systems, bookkeeping or billing
together.

- Agree to share water rights or water resources without
actually completely tying systems together.
- Agree to tie systems together, but have separate operations.
- Agree to tie systems together, dissolve current systems
and form a new entity.

What are the sources of water that
each community relies on for drinking water and what is the present condition
of these water sources?
How much water have people
been using in a given area and what is the projected future population and water
use in the given area?
What are the regulations the community water systems operate
under and how do other regulations such as land use affect their operation?
What data needs to be collected in order to make an informed
decision on water planning?
Potential Customers - Goals
We are inviting several systems in your area to work together
to help each other in times of drought and water shortages. Some of the goals
of the program are:
- To promote community-wide drought planning and water conservation
actions that will protect and extend community water supplies against drought-related
problems.
- To create a template for forty-year water plans that includes
a water conservation component that will reflect the needs and can be adopted
by all communities participating.

- To educate local leaders and the public about water
conservation and how to best protect the water resources that provides drinking
water to their community.
